Barbara J. Brock, 55, of Shelburn and formerly of West Terre Haute died at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday April 30, 2003, in her aunt's residence in West Terre Haute, following an extended illness. She was employed by Columbia House, where she worked in the mail room. She was born March 2, 1948, in Terre Haute. Survivors include her husband, William V. Brock Jr., whom she married Jan. 21, 1967, in Terre Haute; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina Rose Brock Harden and Kyle Harden of West Terre Haute; one son, William C. Brock and his fiancé, Jessie Hargis of West Terre Haute; her parents, Evelyn "Maxine" Tackett and Charles Tackett; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Virginia and Richard Bracken of Terre Halite; one brother and sister-in-law Larry and Nancy Tackett of West Terre Haute; one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Gary Dunham of West Terre Haute; grandchildren, Sheena Brock, who resided with her, Brandy VanCleave, Cody Harden, Jessica Harden, Jacob Brock, and Haley Hargis, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded death by one son, William V. Brock III. She was a member of the Dresser Church. She also had worked a number of years at Specialty Blanks. Services are noon Friday in Fitzpatrick-Pearce Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Wilbur officiating. Burial is Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today and 7 a.m. until services Friday.
